Parents and players:
This message is mostly for SPRING athletes, however, if you have ANY HRHS uniforms, gear, equipment that must be returned, please do so with the coordinating drop off times below. We are trying to do this as organized as possible and as time-efficient as possible.
All uniforms and athletic gear will be collected by our athletic and administrative staff at the third set of designated tables, please have all items in a sealed plastic bag. Please make sure uniforms are washed and 100% dry before bagging to avoid mold. Students must turn in their own sports equipment; please attach a piece of paper with the athlete's name, sport, and sizes of the uniform or equipment returned to the outside of the bag. Summer Access to DCSD Building and Facilities
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. In accordance with the guidance from our health department and governing officials to keep our students and staff safe, Douglas County School District will maintain the closure of all of its facilities (schools, central office buildings, etc.) through June 30. This closure includes all in-person instruction, athletics/activities, BASE (before and after school care), outdoor education, DCSD sponsored field trips/camps, and facility rentals. In addition, in order to help minimize the spread of COVID-19 in our community, we ask our families and students to avoid playgrounds, ballparks, athletic fields, tracks, etc. that are located on DCSD properties.
Around the nation, more than 30 other state associations have made the difficult decision to cancel their spring season. We hoped that Colorado medical and health data would provide reassurances that we could go in a different direction. Unfortunately that will not be the case. The spring 2020 season is cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which is affecting communities across the world.
Any and all Further information about the spring sports season is on via CHSAANow.
As of Friday, March 13th, ALL extra-curricular activities are canceled due to the COVID-19 virus through June!
Athletes, please make sure you touch base with your coach about keeping up with conditioning and practice plans on your own time. This means NO practices, NO games, NO concerts, NO plays, etc. NO face-to-face meetings but you are able to communicate.
